Eric Rushton to release his first stand-up special

Not That Deep out on YouTube next week

Eric Rushton is to release his debut stand-up special on YouTube next week.

In Not That Deep, the comic covers topics such as family life and likening comedians to porn stars – until the recording goes awry when he is faced with a tough heckler: his own brother.

Rushton won the inaugural Sean Lock Comedy Award handed out by Channel 4 this summer, for embodying the alternative comedic spirit of the late stand-up.

The prize included a script commission, which led to him writing on 8 Out of 10 Cats and The Last Leg.

And in 2020, he won the Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year award.  He has also been a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny? and the Chortle Student Comedy awards.

Not That Deep will be released on December 22 on Rushton’s YouTube channel.
