Morgan Rees announces debut tour
Morgan Rees has announced his first tour.
The Welsh stand-up will be performing his new show Turning Thirsty at 21 venues, starring at Manchester’s Frog and Bucket on May 1.
In it, he talks about how his milestone birthday ‘has got him thirsty for life’, vowing to live his next decade authentically as a proud bisexual man.
But first he wants to celebrate his experimental 20s, such as a cringe-inducing mishap on a nudist beach, making his Mum menopause-busting edibles, and his dating turn-offs.
Rees was in the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards and So You Think You’re Funny in 2017, and of Chortle’s Student Comedy Award in 2016.
He has also amassed 25 million views online and co-hosts the podcast Chatting With Cherubs with fellow comedian Josh Jones and has provided tour support for comedians including Fern Brady, Rhys James, Jayde Adams, Nigel Ng and Paul Chowdhry.
Morgan’s debut UK tour will include several BSL-interpreted performances, including Bristol, Cardiff, Canterbury, Glasgow, London and Sheffield. He will also be raising funds for local LGBTQIA+ charities throughout the tour.
