Operation Mincemeat extends again

Comedy musical booking in the West End until April

Comedy musical Operation Mincemeat has extended its West End run again.

The show will now run at the Fortune Theatre until at least April 21, following this fifth extension.

It tells of a real-life wartime plot to spread disinformation about an Allied invasion by planting fake secret papers on a corpse, then dumping it at sea in the hope Nazis would discover it.

The musical is written and composed by David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoë Roberts, collectively known as  SpitLip.

It began life at the tiny New Diorama Theatre in 2019, with subsequent runs at the Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios before landing in the West End.

Extension tickets will be available on general sale from 10am next Friday, September 29.
