Frank Skinner announces West End dates

For his latest stand-up show 30 Years Of Dirt

Frank Skinner is bringing his latest stand-up show 30 Years Of Dirt to London’s West End.

The comic will be at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, for seven nights following his successful run at last month’s Edinburgh Fringe.

His last tour, Showbiz, played the Garrick Theatre for a month in 2020.

Skinner has actually been a comic for 36 years, having decided to spend £400 of his last £435 booking a room at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1987.

This year the comic and radio host – whose Absolute Radio show   attracts more than a million listeners a week – was appointed an MBE by the Princess Royal for his services to entertainment.

Skinner will be performing at the Lyric from Monday October 30 to Sunday November 5.

Meanwhile, the Southwark Playhouse Borough has announced a four-week residency for the comedy show Garry Starr Performs Everything  from November 29.

In the show, Damien Warren-Smith stars as disgraced actor Garry Starr who following his scandalous dismissal from the Royal Shakespeare Company defies his critics by performing every style of theatre imaginable, thus saving the performing arts from extinction.

It debuted at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where it was nominated for best newcomer, and Edinburgh Fringe.
