Dom Joly announces new tour
Dom Joly has announced a new tour about conspiracy theories to tie in with his new book on the subject.
The Trigger Happy TV creator will be playing 30 dates in February and March, with some of the shows performed in the guise of conspiracy theorist Dr Julian Northcote.
It comes off the back of his latest book The Conspiracy Tourist, set for publication on November 2, which describes such incidents as meeting followers of QAnon, hunting for UFOs in Roswell, chasing Alex Jones of Info Wars around Austin, trying to prove that Finland exists and taking a flat-earther to the edge of the world.
Other questions said to be asked in the tour are: ‘Is Bill Gates using vaccines to take control of your mind? Is Denver Airport a massive panic room for the Illuminati? [and] Are UFOs piloted by lizards?
Dr Northcote is described as ‘an amateur historian who has written extensively on the history of the bench’ as well as the book Cows: Britain's Secret Killers. He is said to mistrust the vegan lobby and once staged a one-man protest outside Cirencester Waitrose , claiming that avocados were the ‘devil's eggs.;And he believes pigeons have batteries and secretly recording everything on behalf of a shadowy global organisation, as depivted below:
Previous books and tours have revolved around his travels to danger spots such as North Korea, the Congo, Syria and Chernobyl.
