Safe Space launches on Audible today

The full line-up for Jack Whitehall’s first podcast, Safe Space, has been announced as the ten-part series lunches for Audible subscribers today.

The show features celebrities and listeners sharing their most cringe-inducing tales, and try to feel better about themselves along the way. 

Guests will include Russell Howard, Judd Apatow and Emily Atack, while the show is co-hosted by ’unembarrassable’ comedy writer James Serafinowicz.

Episode 1: Emily Atack: School Days
Emily Atack barrels into the Safe Space as we all cast our minds back to those embarrassing school days we’d rather forget. 

Ep 2: Tom Davis: A Proper Day’s Work
Jack learns all about the meaning of a real day’s work with some incredible cringey tales from famed comedy big fella and former handyman Tom Davis. 

Ep 3: Jameela Jamil: Celebrity Encounters
Jameela Jamil swings by the Safe Space to share her cringeful celebrity encounter tales from Hollywood. Watch out Al Pacino.

Judd Apatow has created more awkward on-screen moments than most of us have lived through, but in the Safe Space he shares his embarrassing experiences.

Ep 5: Big Zuu: Eating Out
Jack welcomes rapper and gourmand Big Zuu into the Safe Space to chat about getting it wrong when eating out. And Zuu shares a tale that he’d kept secret from his family to this day.

Ep 6: Layton Williams: Taking Centre Stage
There’s no one who treats life like a stage more than Layton Williams. He shares with the Safe Space the tales of when being the centre of attention has gone wrong.

Ep 7: Whitney Cummings: Bodies
Superstar comic Whitney Cummings arrives in the Safe Space fresh from the red eye with tales of the body. 

Ep 8: Sue Perkins: Intrepid Travellers
Remember the Sue Perkins from kindly bread-based competition Bake Off? This is not that Sue Perkins as cakes are swapped for substances of a spacier variety with some wild tales of embarrassment abroad.

Ep 9: Jordan Gray: The Things We Do for Love
Comedy sensation Jordan Gray parachutes in with her own embarrassments to offload. Romance is in store as Jack discusses the things he does for love.

Ep 10: Russell Howard: First Impressions
Jack throws the Safe Space doors open to stand-up Russell Howard as they talk about their worst first impressions. Expect stories featuring burglaries, the Severn Bridge and vol-au-vents.

Christmas Special, coming December ‘22
Christmas is all about family, and unfortunately for Jack that involves Hilary and Michael Whitehall insisting on having their own stint in the Safe Space.
