Fourth series of Annie McGrath's show that mixes art and chat

Comedian Annie McGrath has recorded a new series of her Secret Artists podcast, which launches on Thursday.

Guests on series four include John Kearns, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Emily Lloyd-Saini, Sara Barron, Sam Fletcher, Bella Hull and Tom Stourton, Leo Reich.

Each will work with McGrath to create a  piece of art while chatting about art, comedy and life.

McGrath said: ‘I love doing Secret Artists and being able to chat to interesting people whilst painting. Listeners say they find it relaxing which is nice; there’s a slightly slower pace to the podcast than with most interviews.  

‘Guests are distracted by the process of creating, so they often open up more than they might otherwise. Basically, I’m tricking people into telling me their secrets, under the guise of something more highbrow.’

Secret Artists podcast launched in 2019 and the 60 episodes have been downloaded a total   100,000 times, with previous guests including Phil Wang, Katy Wix, Alex Horne, Jamie Demetriou, Lolly Adefope and  Brett Goldstein.
