A certified best-seller
Kevin Bridges has been given a certificate by the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow for playing more shows at their venues than anybody else.
The comedian’s current run of 16 gigs at the 12,000-capacty OVO Hydro in his Overdue Catch Up tour brings his total to 63.
His platinum award is said to be the first of many to be handed out by the SEC.
Debbie McWilliams, the venues’ director of live entertainment, said: ‘It is always a pleasure to welcome Kevin back to the SEC, and this year more so than most as he reaches this significant milestone.
‘It is fitting that home-grown talent is the recipient of our first Platinum Artist award. Kevin now paves the way for other artists to be recognised with this new award.’
The campus also includes the 3,000-seat SEC Armadillo and the SEC Centre, which contains a 10,000 and 5,000 seat venues.
