SNL announces its next guest hosts
The first three guest hosts of the next series of Saturday Night Live – its 48th– have been announced.
Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller will make his hosting debut for the season premiere on October 1, with musical guest Kendrick Lamar.
Irish actor Brendan Gleeson also host for the first time, on October 8, when the musical guest will be Willow – Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s musician daughter.
Megan Thee Stallion will be both host and musical guest on October 15.
The news follows the announcement that four new performers have been added to its regular cast – including its first non-binary comedian.
Molly Kearney, who uses they/them pronouns, was one of the comedians selected for Comedy Central's Up Next showcase in 2019 and has appeared in the Amazon series A League of Their Own and the Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks.
The other new featured performers are Cuban-Dominican stand-up Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow, recently featured in the Netflix Is a Joke festival, as a notable up-and-comer, and Devon Walker, a writer on Netflix’s Big Mouth.
The overhall came after Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor and Aristotle Athari are left the show.
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the States and Sky Comedy in the UK.
