Hosting a show previously compered by Bill Bailey

Helen Lederer is to join London’s Cabaret All Stars in the new year.

The Absolutely Fabulous comedian will host the show, beneath Waterloo Bridge, every Saturday night for three months.

West End star John Partridge will be taking over duties for the rest of the week.

Lederer said: ‘I am beyond excited to dust off my Spanx, tell a few stories and bring my comedy twist to this absolutely fabulous Proud Cabaret show of talent, spectacle and wonder.’

And Alex Proud, chief executive of producers Proud Cabaret, added: ’I am thrilled that Helen has joined Proud Cabaret All Stars for a funny and outrageous show"

She follows in the footsteps of Denise Van Outen, Duncan James, Julian Clary, Bill Bailey and Toyah Willcox.
