Bristol gets a grassroots comedy festival
Bristol is finally getting a new comedy festival, after a two-year delay due to Covid
The one-day event will run across three venues on Sunday 15th May and feature more 24 hours worth of Fringe comedy previews from the likes of Rosie Jones, Stuart Goldsmith, and Helen Bauer.
Burt Williamson and Andrew White who have organised the afternoon of show said they want to showcase the city’y bustling grassroots comedy scene, which has grown and strengthened since lockdown restrictions lifted earlier this year.
But many acts are not from the area: Catherine Bohart and Marlon Davis, pictured, kick off the afternoon at 1pm, with Sara Barron, Harriet Kemsley, Pierre Novellie, Jess Fostekew, and Sarah Keyworth.
Tickets are sold individually (all £6 / £9 on the door) and shows run at The Exchange, To The Moon, and The Stag & Hounds – all within a five minutes’ walk of each other in Bristol’s Old Market.
