Prestigious international TV awards

Sue Perkins is to host the prestigious international Rose d’Or TV awards this year.

The comic will follow in the footsteps of Sir Lenny Henry and Nish Kumar, who have hosted the ceremony, in recent years.

She said: 'It's an absolute honour to be presenting the Rose d'Or Awards, which have celebrated TV greats across the genres for over 60 years - from Dame Edna Everage to Sir David Attenborough.

Mark Rowland, chair of the Rose d’Or Jury said: ‘We are delighted that Sue has agreed to host this year’s awards. Sue is such an accomplished broadcaster across the whole range of TV and radio entertainment the Rose d’Or is here to celebrate.’

The cremony is being staged as a digital event this year and will be streamed on November 29 on www.rosedor.com.
