Max & Ivan are releasing a new podcast set in a fictional ‘podcast selling network’.

In each of the ten episodes of  Sound Deals, the double act will be given made-up products to sell by their producer, and have improvise what they are and why the listener should buy them.

They are also joined each week by a Brandbassador, with the likes of James Acaster, Mae Martin, and Lolly Adefope improvising a backstory for their product.

Max Olesker said: ‘ If there are two things the world needs more of, it’s podcasts and shopping networks’ – while Ivan Gonzalez added: ‘We hope this podcast will help the world heal.'

The first two episodes drop on July 21 with guests Deborah Frances White and Dara Ó Briain, and here’s a trailer:

Meanwhile, America’s Comedy Central is launching a new podcast from the set of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, entitled Beyond the Scenes.

Hosted by Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr., the series gives listeners an inside look at how producers and writers of the series use comedy to tackle complex topics, from racial injustice to sex robots.

Correspondents Desi Lydic, Dulcé Sloan, Michael Kosta, Ronny Chieng  are among those who will feature when the show launches on  Tuesday.
