Playing a lawyer in Netflix fantasy hit

Comedian turned actor Liz Carr has landed a role in Netflix hit The Watcher.

The Silent Witness star will play Fenn, a partner in a law firm and detective agency,  in the fantasy drama.

Her partner, Codringher, is to be played by Simon Callow, it has also been announced.

No return date has yet been confirmed for the show, based on the books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, but it is expected later this year.

Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra will all be returning in their lead roles.
