Heats start in January

London comedy venue 2Northdown has launched its third new act competition

Heats will take place from January in its sister venue, 21Soho

The contest is open to all forms of comedy, with sketch, character and alternative acts especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be 18+, must not have been performing regularly for more than five years, and must not yet have made their Edinburgh Fringe debut.

The winner gets £500, a paid spot on one of 2Northdown’s monthly nights and a free hour-long preview slot at the Kings Cross venue ahead of the Edinburgh Fringe.

This year's winner was Leo Reich.
