Comedy gigs for Brighton's Open Air Theatre

With Nina Conti, Phil Wang, Ed Gamble and more

Brighton’s Open Air Theatre is to host a series of comedy gigs this summer, with line-ups including Nina Conti, Phil Wang, Ed Gamble and more.

Tim Vine, Bridget Christie, Tim Key and others  are also taking part in the  gigs, which run from August 26 to September 3 and have been put together by production company Show And Tell.

Wang said: 'Oooooh what’s this? No webcams? No cars? No Zoom? No vroom? This is very exciting.'

Tickets will be £21, with £1 from every ticket sold going to local arts venue The Old Market.

Tom Searle, founder of Show And Tell, said: ‘We are looking forward to safely welcoming the return of comedy with a live audience in the beautiful outdoor amphitheatre at BOAT.’

The news comes on the day that The Warren opens its open-air venue on Brighton beach, next to the pier.
