Baby Cow appoints new comedy development producer

Steve Coogan's production company staffs up

Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow has appointed a new comedy development producer.

Maisah Thompson joins the company from Objective Fiction, where she was a junior producer responsible for shows skewed towards viewers aged 16 to 34. She also worked as an assistant producer on Arthur Mathews’ Road to Brexit.

She will report to Rupert Majendie, the company’s head of comedy development, who said of the new signing: ‘Her inspiring love, understanding and knowledge of comedy makes her the perfect person to help us build on Baby Cow’s comedy history.'

Coogan added: ‘If you’re part of Baby Cow, you want to trample boundaries and you’ve got something to say. Maisah will help us grow Comedy at Baby Cow through her hunger to champion hidden talent, crafting stories full of truth and humour in new and different ways.’

The company’s credits include Gavin & Stacey, Red Dwarf and This Tie With Alan Partridge.
