Who's starring in the US remake of Ghosts?
The US remake of Ghosts has cast its two main characters.
Utkarsh Ambudkar, last seen in the recent comedy film Brittany Runs A Marathon, will play the male lead, Hollywood trade press is reporting.
He will star opposite the previously announced Rose McIver, previously best known for schmaltzy fare such as A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, as well as the grittier iZombie.
They take the roles of a couple - played by Charlotte Richie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe in the BBC One original - who buy a house only to find it haunted.
Brandon Scott Jones, from The Good Place, and Rebecca Wisocky have also been cast in the pilot, which is being made for the CBS network.
Executive producers include the Horrible Histories team who devised the BBC original and play several of the ghosts: Mathew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond and Martha Howe-Douglas.
Shooting wrapped on the second series of the UK version just before the coronavirus shutdown, and a third series has also been commissioned.
