Hannibal Buress releases a new rap track
Comedian Hannibal Buress has released a new single, Judge Judy, all about America's long-running TV show.
The comic says he was inspired by the people who went on the show and wound up being belittled by the acid-tongued stars.
'5,200 episodes of the same scenarios,' he said. 'Why do people go on the show knowing that there’s a good chance of being berated? Does their fandom blind them so much that they’re willing to be embarrassed on national television by the legend?
'What happens when they return to their hometowns? Do they ever live it down or is it a stain on them forever?'
The track features his frequent collaborator Ron Lamont and is produced by Chrome Sparks.
In it, he assumes the persona of someone who once appeared on the show, rapping: 'I was on an episode in 2003/Yeah, I was the defendant and you doubted me/Cuz they said I didn't pay rent for a thousand weeks...'
