Comedian and Baptist Minister faces Britain's Got Talent judges

Allan Finnegan gets four yeses

Comedian and Baptist minister Allan Finnegan got four yesses from judges when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent tonight.

The 52-year-old  from Liverpool appeared on stage wearing a dog collar, prompting judge Amanda Holden to ask if he really is a man of the cloth.

‘For real - you don't wear this for a laugh,’ he replies.

Finnegan told the judges that he came to comedy late, and modestly suggests he’s ‘not very good at it’.

But they begged to differ

David Walliams said: 'You were super funny and memorable', Alesha Dixon called him a 'breath of fresh air', and Amanda Holden said he made her 'want to go to church'.

Simon Cowell said: 'The audience love you, you've got four yeses.'

Finnegan has been gigging since 2012 and has played Hot Water and Rawhide comedy clubs in Liverpool, though not often wearing thee dog collar:

Finnegan is the third comedian on this series of BGT, following Steve Royle, who got four yeses, and Claire Harrison McCartney, who got four nos.
