Stage production next year

Dead Ringers impressionist Jan Ravens to star in a stage productionof Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads.

The comedian will appear in the production at the Watford Palace Theatre from March 4 to 29.

The venue’s artistic director Brigid Larmour was at Cambridge University with Ravens and the par of them formed a theatre company with Sandi Toksvig called Flying Ducks.

Larmour said: ‘This project was made for Jan.  Even as a student at Cambridge she combined a virtuosic skill with accents and comedy, with an ability to get under the skin of a character and break your heart. She will make Alan Bennett’s brilliant writing sing.’

Ravens will be joined by Julia Watson, who played Dr Baz on Casualty for 18 years.
