Theatre tour for Joe Thomas

What’s In A Name? is an adaptation of French comedy

Inbetweeners and Taskmaster star Joe Thomas is to star in a new touring adaptation of a French comedy.

What’s In A Name?, has been adapted from the  French film and stage show, Le Prènom and is set around an awkward family dinner party.

Thomas plays a father-to-be who causes a stir over the exquisite meal when he and partner Anna reveal they plan to give their unborn child a controversial first name.

Summer Strallen, as recently seen in Young Frankenstein and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, plays Anna, with  James Lance and Alex Gaumond rounding out the cast so far announced.

This production previously played at the Birmingham Rep in 2017, and will now visit Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre from September 5 to 14  before visiting Glasgow, York, Aylesbury, Cambridge, Windsor, Richmond and Southampton.

What’s In A Name? is written by Matthew Delaporte and Alexandre De La Patellière with adaptation, translation and direction by Jeremy Sams.
