Michaela Coel joins Drag Race
Chewing Gum star Michaela Coel has been unveiled as one of the guest judges on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK when it airs on BBC Three this autumn.
The actress, who has also starred in Black Mirror and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, says she is a big fan of drag.
"I love that you have to dare, you have to dare and you have to drop all of your societal norms and restraints that you’ve been taught and you have to dare to embody something higher,’ she explained.
She will be a celebrity judge on one episode.
Former Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield has also today been named as one of the guest judges, with Masie Williams, Geri Horner and Jade Thirlwall all having previously been announced, too.
They will join RuPaul and Michelle Visage, plus either Graham Norton and Alan Carr, who will be sharing the last resident judge’s seat across the eight-part series.
