About his battles with alcoholism

Matt Rees has recorded a stand-up special for BBC Radio Wales about his battles with alcoholism.

Happy Hour is adapted from his Edinburgh show of the same name, and also looks at the Welsh relationship with booze, including drinking stories in the culture

Rees, who has been sober since April 2017, recorded the show at this  year’s Machynlleth Comedy Festival, with fellow comic Robin Morgan acting as script editor.

The show will air on July 8 at 6.30pm.
