New deal with Comedy Central

Bill Burr is to present a new series for America’s Comedy Central showcasing some of his favourite comedians.

No further details of the half-hour shows – including its title or which comics will be featured – have been disclosed. Nor is it known if the show will come to the UK.

But it has been announced as part of a deal between the broadcaster and All Things Comedy (ATC), the production company Burr set up with fellow comic Al Madrigal.

The contract also includes three one-hour stand-up specials kicking off with Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This, which will air in the US on November 2.

Burr said: ‘We are all very excited here at ATC to be in business with Comedy Central. They gave me my first national exposure with a half-hour special back when I was just starting out.’
