Comedy stars added to London Podcast Festival
A batch of special guests has been announced for the London Podcast Festival which kicks off tomorrow, including Sue Perkins, Rob Delaney and Mae Martin.
Among the comedy stars who are appearing at the event – which runs at Kings Place near Kings Cross over two consecutive weekends are:
• Catastrophe star Delaney appearing alongside Comedy Bang’s Tawny Newsome in improvised sketch comedy Superego on September 14.
• Perkins discussing the joy and art of comedy with Philomena Cunk writers Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris on Rule of Three tomorrow.
• Mae Martin on Cameron Esporito's Queery Live on September 13
• Tom Allen and Chris Neill getting a grilling on Dave Holms and Matt McConkey's queer comedy party Homophilia on September 14
• Shappi Khorsandi covering the events of the week in Jolyon Rubinstein's We Need To Talk About on September 16.
• Edinburgh Fringe best newcomer nominee Olga Koch and Robin Ince on Ed Patrick's Comedian's Surgery this Saturday
• Alex Zane chatting Central Perk, Marcel the monkey and more on Friends With Friends on Sunday
• Aisling Bea joining Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi on the political pop-culture show Throwing Shade on September 16
• Shazia Mirza on US podcast Yo, Is This Racist? on September 16
• Andrew Hunter Murray, Erin Gibson and Dane Baptiste looking at the lighter side of death on Cariad Lloyd's Griefcast on September 15.
They join an international line-up of top podcasters and performers including Paul F. Tompkins,Chris Gethard, Stephen Mangan on Alan Partridge fan show Monkey Tennis and Al Murray talking James Bond on Smersh Pod (Sun 9 Sep).
