Fundraiser for Target Ovarian Cancer

The line-up has been announced for the annual West End fundraiser in honour of Linda Smith.

Bridget Christie, Arthur Smith, Barry Cryer, Mark Steel and Ruby Wax are among the comedians set to take part in the Loving Linda gala to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer.

The disease claimed the comic’s life in 2006, at  the age of 48.

Also taking part in the show  at the Cambridge Theatre on October 8 are Angela Barnes, Jan Ravens, Jeremy Hardy, Jo Caulfield, Dr John Cooper Clarke, Mark Thomas  and musicians  Sarah Jane Morris, Barb Jungr and Ian Shaw.

Susan Booth, director of development at Target Ovarian Cancer said: ‘The Loving Linda comedy gala has always been a wonderful way to remember a very special woman gone too soon, while also raising awareness and funds for women who face an ovarian cancer diagnosis today. I’m delighted we’re hosting the event once again this year, with our most spectacular line-up yet.’
