Festival's comedy bill revealed

The How The Light Gets In Festival has announced its comedy line-up.

James Acaster heads the bill at the vent, which takes place over the weekend of May 25 to 28 in Hay-on-Wye.

Also appearing are Annie McGrath, Sean McLoughlin, Ahir Shah Harriet Kemsley, Alex Kealy, Chris Stokes, Brett Goldstein, Evelyn Mok, Lou Sanders, Alfie Brown, Olga Koch, Pierre Novellie, Luke McQueen, Ed Aczel, Stuart Laws and Garrett Millerick.

The event – which stylises its title as HowTheLightGetsIn – is described as a five-day festival of philosophy and music that will explore the theme of darkness, authority and dreams. Full weekend camping tickets start from £158 per person

Last week the Larmer Tree Festival, which takes place on he Wiltshire/Dorset border over the weekend of July 19 to 22 announced its comedy line-up too.

Headlined by Sara Pascoe, Mark Watson and Dane Baptiste it also features  Jen Brister, Alice Fraser, Sean McLoughlin,  Charlie Barker, Felicity Ward,  Evelyn Mok, Rhys Nicholson, Athena Kugblenu and Matt Winning. Many of the comics will be previewing their full Edinburgh Fringe shows.

Music headliners are First Aid Kit, Jake Bugg and Public Service Broadcasting.
