Another festival announces its line-up

The Rewind Festival – which runs over three venues this summer – has announced its comedy line-ups.

Each event features musical stars of the 1980s with OMD, Midge Ure, Bonnie Tyler, The Boomtown Rats and Howard Jones on each one.

Rewind Scotland takes place at Scone Palace, Perth, on July 20 to 22, with musical performances by  Status Quo, UB40,  Heaven 17 and Hue & Cry.

And the comedy will be supplied by Janey Godley, Reginald D Hunter, Daisy Earl and Rayguns Look Real Enough.

Rewind North takes place at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire, on  August 3 to 5 August with music by The Jacksons, Billy Ocean, Marc Almond, Soul II Soul and comedy from Milton Jones, Mick Ferry, Mrs Barbara Nice.

Rewind South takes place at Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, on   August 17 to 19 August with performances by Kool & The Gang, OMD, Billy Ocean, Jimmy Somerville,  Marc Almond, Kim Wilde, and Jason Donovan.

The comedy features award-winning comic Milton Jones, Vikki Stone and David Morgan.

• The Wells Comedy Festival has added Rob Newman, Dave Hill and Rob Kemp’s cult hit The Elvis Dead to its line-up, among others, bringing the total number of shows up to 69. The event runs from May 25 to 27. Full programme
