Frog spawns a late-night show
Manchester’s longest running comedy club, The Frog and Bucket, is to launch a new late-night stand-up show.
The new show, at 11.30pm on a Saturday night, hopes to replicate the anarchy of the likes of Late 'n' Live at the Edinburgh Fringe.
So it was only a matter of time before Manchester’s Frog and Bucket created its own.
Frog and Bucket manager Jessica Toomey said: ‘Those shows are always really popular. Plus we decided now was the time to start a late show as Manchester has transformed into a real 24-hour city over the last few years.
‘I wanted to introduce a different format for a weekend show, one that was faster-paced and that better accommodated acts that were more diverse and alternative, taking bigger risks.’
The first show will be on March 10 with Freddy Quinne, pictured, compering Steve Royle, Matt Rees, Vince Atta and Andrew Ryan.
