Final at Leicester Square Theatre tonight.

Mohamed Omar has been crowned this year's Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year.

He  follows in the footsteps of previous winners such as Tim Renkow, Matt Rees and Rob Beckett

Runners up were Ali Woods, who came second, and Jack Gleadow, who was second in this year's  Chortle Student Comedy Award.

The competition, which has been running since 2009, is open to any non-professional act who's been performing for five years or less and entries 

The full list of finalists tonight was: Isa Bonachera, J B Carter, Huge Davies, Jack Gleadow, Janine Harouni, Rosie Holt, Bennet Kavanagh, Anne Klein, Simon Lomas, John Meagher, Mohammed Omar, Akin Omobitan, Chloe Petts, William Rowland and Ali Woods.
