The Scottish comedian of the year... could be French

Finalists announced

A Frenchman could be named Scottish comedian of the year.

Parisian Sébastien Dall’Ozzo has made the final of the competition to be held in Glasgow in Sunday – and is eligible because he lives in Edinburgh.

This year’s finalists also include two former winners: Rosco McLelland, who scooped the title in 2016, and Jamie Dalgleish, who won it in 2011.

Other comedians taking part are: Leo Kearse, Stuart McPherson, Donald Alexander,  Kirsty Morrison, Marc Jennings, Stephen Buchanan and Ross Leslie

The final takes place in the Rotunda Comedy Club, near the SECC, and is hosted by voice of Love Island, Iain Stirling

The winner receives  a £10,00 cash prize and the chance to perform for five weeks in Australia at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
