It's all about the Jewish jokes
David Baddiel, Shappi Khorsandi and Mark Steel are among the stand-ups appearing at this year’s UK Jewish Comedy Festival.
Baddiel will be in conversation with author Devorah Baum about her new book The Jewish Joke, about what defines that sense of humour.
Steel will be performing his show, Who Do I Think I Am, about tracing his family tree, in which he discovered he had Jewish heritage – as well as some even more surprising twists.
While the non-Jewish Shappi Khorsandi will be presenting her new show about an unsung heroine of English history, Emma Hamilton.
Other events at the festival include the annual UK Jewish Comedian of the Year Award, and the Misogynist Film Club in which a panel looks at the comedy films we love and love to hate, from a feminist perspective.
It runs at the JW3 Jewish arts centre on the Finchley Road in London from December 7 to 10
