Knock2Bag club goes weekly

Never mind the name, look at the line-ups...

London’s worst-named comedy club is to go weekly.

Formerly a monthly night, Knock2Bag will be resident at Hackney’s Moth Club every Thursday from next week.

Comics playing this autumn include Harry Hill, Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty, Jayde Adams, Cardinal Burns and Aisling Bea.

The night celebrated its tenth birthday in May and has previously hosted Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant, David Cross and Tim Key (pictured), among many others. Even the audiences can be famous, with the likes of Ralph Fiennes, John C. Reilly, Steve Coogan and Julian Barratt attending shows.

The Moth Club is an ex-servicemen’s members club in the heart of Hackney with a sparkly gold ceiling and sense of faded glamour – where Lady Gaga recently launched her latest single Perfect Illusion with  a surprise, one-off show.

•   The Good Ship comedy club, formerly at the pub of the same name in Kilburn High Road, is to move to the Colonel Fawcett pub in Camden from next month. Owners of the original venue said curbs on late-night events had made the venue 'unviable', so will be shutting its doors on October 29
