Finalists announced for English Comedian of the Year

The finalists have been named for the 2017 English Comedian of the Year.

Ten acts have been chosen following the last two semi finals in Edinburgh.

They are Adam Rowe, Clayton Jones, Darius Davies, Elliot Steel, Lauren Pattison, Liam Withnail, Lou Conran, Nick Page, Radu Isac (who is actually Romanian) and Simon Lomas.

Unlike other competitions, the English Comedian of the Year is not confined to new acts.

The final takes place at London’s Underbelly Southbank on Tuesday September 5. Tickets can be purchased at Underbelly

The winner receives £1,000 plus a trip to Australia to perform at the Perth and Adelaide Fringe festivals.
