Iain Stirling and Frankie Boyle sell out Fringe runs

...and we've only just started

Iain Stirling, Frankie Boyle and Sara Pascoe have sold out their Edinburgh Fringe runs before the festival kicks off.

Stirling has sold his full run in the 140-capacity Pleasance Above as he finds new fame as the voice of Love Island, which has been averaging 2.6million viewers.

Promoters Avalon have promised that extra dates will be added soon for his new show, U OK Hun? X which will tour the UK in early 2018.

Stirling is also the host of ITV2’s new physical entertainment comedy show CelebAbility.

Meanwhile, Boyle is in Edinburgh launching his new Prometheus Volume 1 tour with ten dates at the EICC – but has already sold out all 12,000 seats for the run.

With less TV exposure, Sara Pascoe sold out her entire run of the 257-capacity Pleasance Forth a week ago and has already added extra dates.

Other comics doing well are Jan Ravens, who has sold out 20 of her 25 nights as she makes her Fringe; and James Acaster, who is almost sold out with his ‘Trelogy ‘ of previous shows.

• Stirling will be performing a snippet of his show at the first Chortle Fast Fringe, at 18:40 tonight in the Pleasance Dome, alongside 11 other festival comedy acts.
