...in new Syfy series Happy!

Patton Oswalt is to voice an imaginary blue-winged horse in a new cop show.

The comedian will take the title role in Happy!, a new show for America’s SyFy network due to launch in the autumn.

Oswalt stars alongside  Chris Meloni, who plays a drunk, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man, who stars imagining the horse to get through life and help save a kidnapped little girl.

Hollywood trade website Deadline describes it as ‘the oddest of oddball buddy double acts’.

Earlier this month, Oswalt cancelled gigs in London and Galway, citing work commitments.
