Ed Sheeran to appear in The Simpsons
Ed Sheeran’s cameo on Game Of Thrones last night may have gone down so badly that he felt compelled to delete his Twitter account in the face of the backlash.
But now it has been revealed that the 26-year-old musician is to make another TV guest appearance – on The Simpsons.
He is coming to Springfield as a singer called Brendan, whom Lisa Simpson will have a crush on.
The episode will be a musical one called Haw Haw Land, a spoof of La La Land.
Simpsons executive producer, Al Jean told EW that Lisa ‘keeps falling for [Brendan] because of his talent’ – while bully Nelson, who is also trying to win over Lisa with his singing.
His appearance will come at some point in the 29th season of the animation, which kicks off in the US on October 1.
Sheeran is such a fan of The Simpsons that he even has a tattoo of Blinky, the three-eyed fish.
