€500 prize

Dublin comedy club The Laughter Lounge has launched a new act competition.

The winner of its copyright-defying Ireland’s Got Talent competition will take home a €500 prize.

Organisers are looking for  12 up-and-coming comics to take part in the competition, which will run over the weekends of August 17-19 and 24-26.

To enter, submit your name, contact details and a clip of your best material to natalia@laughterlounge.com before Friday July 14.

Organisers say: ’In addition to the cash prize, we’ll give the winner and some of the stand-out talent’ paid slots in various Laughter Lounge shows with the intention of moving them up to a headlining spot.
