Russell Kane's Facebook show claims 750k views
Ratings are in for Kaneing Live discussion show
Russell Kane’s Facebook Live programme The Kaneing Live has attracted 750,000 views so far.
The topical show broadcast live on Monday night – before the tragic events in Manchester – and featured Katherine Ryan, Janet Street-Porter, LBC Radio’s James O’Brien AJ Odudu.
At the end of the 40-minute show, more than 100,000 viewers had tuned in – and the figure now stands at 777,000.
During the broadcast, the panel discussed three topical stories: The Dementia Tax, legalising cannabis and British binge drinking culture
Facebook counts a view when a video has played for just three seconds, which has proved a controversially low threshold among advertisers, especially as videos automatically play without audio on users’ news feeds.
The one-off Kaneing Live was a spin-off from the weekly video rants the comic already posts to social media, and was streamed from Facebook's London offices.
