Festival books comedy stars

Sandi Toksvig, Graham Norton and Eddie Izzard are to appear at the Hay Festival from next month.

They will be among the stars performing around 800 art and literature events, with Democratic Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders the big draw.

Mark Watson, Marcus Brigstocke and Shappi Khorsandi will also be there, performing comedy.

 Stephen Fry will be sharing his philosophy on how to bring about a better world, as will his Blackadder co-star Sir Tony Robinson.

Norton was invited after his debut novel Holding was published in 2016 to critical praise

The 30th annual event runs from May  25 to June  4 in  Hay-on-Wye and tickets go on sale on Thursday.
