BRISTOL: David Cross begins a short UK visit at St George's. Known for cult sketch show Mr Show alongside Bob Odenkirk and playing Tobias Fünke in Arrested Development, the comic also created, wrote, executive produced, and starred in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret and recently directed Season 1 of his show Bliss, a new TV series for Sky starring Heather Graham. He was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album for Making America Great Again. He's also playing Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Islington Assemby Hall in London. David Cross tour dates

Monday April 14

LONDON: Oddballs assemble for another instalment of The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society (ACMS) at The Phoenix near Oxford Circus, with regulars like Ali Brice, Ben Target, Joz Norris, Matthew Highton and Thom Tuck all scheduled to appear.

Tuesday April 15

LONDON: Comedian and Bob's Burgers star Eugene Mirman is taping his first special in a decade soon. And to road-test the material, he's at the Soho Theatre from tonight to Friday with what's billed as 'an evening of whimsy and mild grievances'. Read Mirman's Perfect Playlist of comedy favourites here.

Thursday April 17

LONDON: Cadogan Hall, the elegant former church turned concert venue just off Sloane Square hosts another suitably classy line-up, comprising Lucy Beaumont, Sophie Duker, Celya AB, and Morgan Rees

SOUTHAMPTON: Abi Clarke achieved the dream. She posted a video online, went to bed a 'nobody' then woke up to thousands of followers. Her lively debut show – which starts a tour at The Attic tonight – is frank about how ridiculous it is to be an inflencer and acts as a calling card for her only slightly less ridiculous career as a stand-up.
