LONDON: Leicester Square Theatre hosts the final of its annual Sketch Off competition, which attracts some of the odder acts from the comedy circuit.

GLASGOW: Tomyinnit – known for his irreverent gaming videos online – begins his first UK tour at the King's Theatre. The virtual star, real name Tom, boasts more than 50 million subscribers across his channels. He'll also be at Manchester Bridgewater Hall tomorrow, Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 8th and London Palladium on the 9th.

Monday April 7

LONDON: Adam Riches and John Kearns revive their brilliant parody/tribute to crooners Michael Ball and Alfie Boe at the Soho Theatre for the next two weeks. The less you know before you go, the better, but you can read Chortle's five-star review. here

Wednesday April 9

LONDON: Chortle Award-winning Lorna Rose Treen launches a new night at the Moth Club in Hackney called Lock Up Your Daughters, with The Change's Bridget Christie headlining the opening gig. The supporting line-up comprises some of the circuit's more interesting up-and-coming comedians, too: Priya Hall, Jodie Mitchell, Jonathan Oldfield, Ada and Bron, Alice Cockayne, Will Hughes and Ayoade Bamgboye.

Thursday April 10

BRISTOL: Ghosts star Kiell Smith-Bynoe and comedy guests improvise scenes inspired by tales from the audience in his show Kool Story Bro, which starts a UK tour at the Old Vic tonight, having already proved a success in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe. LONDON: A three-night Soho Theatre run for Phil Ellis's Come On And Take The Rest of Me sees the unlikely Mr Entertainment throw every technique and comedy cliché int the mix of an hilarious hour of full-throated silliness, with hype man, crowd work, sad bits and songs. Read our review here.

BIRMINGHAM: Canadian comedian, YouTuber (with more than 5million subscribers) and podcaster Kurtis Conner embarks on the UK leg of his international Goodfellow tour, following the release of two self-produced comedy specials online. He's at the Town Hall tonight followed by the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London, then Brighton, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Dublin.

Friday April 11

GLASGOW: Nate Bargatze has been hailed as 'the nicest man in stand-up' for his clean and relatable comedy – which has also proved remarkably lucrative, earning him the title of the biggest-grossing live comedy act of last year, taking nearly $80 million from more than 1 million tickets. He's at the Royal Concert Hall tonight; London's Eventim Apollo for two shows tomorrow and the O2 Apollo in Manchester next Tuesday.
