Filming starts on series 4 of Diane Morgan’s Mandy.
Filming has started on the fourth series of Diane Morgan’s Mandy.
Six new 15-minute episodes are in the pipeline, with guest stars including Car Share’s Sian Gibson Rosie Cavaliero rom The Power of Parker and Jamie Bisping from Piglets and Things You Should Have Done.
Returning cast include Tom Basden as the title character’s benefits officer and Michelle Greenidge as her friend Lola.
Morgan said: ‘I couldn’t be more thrilled to be asked to provide a quote for a press release that tells people how thrilled I am that the BBC is bringing back Mandy. However I am too busy writing, directing and starring in the show to come up with anything, so I’ve asked someone else to write it. They are thrilled.’
And Jon Petrie, BBC’s director of comedy says: ‘Series 3 saw Mandy save a plane from a terrorist attack, commit mass murder with a blowpipe, and get fired from a biscuit factory. Mandy gets bigger, bolder, and more brilliantly absurd with every series—and we’re here for every hilarious moment of Diane Morgan’s brilliant creation.’
Other new cast include EastEnders actress Cheryl Fergison and Joanna Bacon from Breeders, while other returning actors include Mark Silcox, Alistair Green, Michael Spicerm Miles Chapman, Tony Way, Robbie Gee, Pearce Quigley, Ben Rufus Green and Yuriko Kotani.
Mandy is made by BBC Studios Comedy with Morgan’s own production company, Witchcraft Industries.
