Richard Gadd is up for a Golden Globe
Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning have been nominated for Golden Globes for their roles in Baby Reindeer.
And the Netflix show itself is up for best limited series in the prestigious American awards.
Based on the comic’s real-life experiences, the show is nominated alongside Disclaimer, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, The Penguin, Ripley and True Detective: Night Country.
Gadd is up for best male actor in the same category alongside Colin Farrell for The Penguin; Kevin Kline for Disclaimer; Cooper Koch for Monsters; Ewan McGregor for A Gentleman in Moscow and Andrew Scott for Ripley.
Gunning – who played the stalker Martha in the series – is shortlisted for best supporting female actor on television alongside Liza Colón-Zayas for The Bear; Hannah Einbinder for Hacks; Dakota Fanning for Ripley; Allison Janney for The Diplomat and Kali Reis for True Detective: Night Country.
The nominees for best television series – musical or comedy – are Abbott Elementary, The Bear, The Gentlemen, Hacks, Nobody Wants This and Only Murders in the Building
And for best stand-up comedy on television, the nominees are Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was – which is only released on Netflix tomorrow – Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die; Seth Meyers: Dad Man Walking; Adam Sandler: Love You; Ali Wong: Single Lady and Ramy Youssef: More Feelings.
Earlier this year, Gadd picked up two Emmy awards for writing and starring in Baby Reindeer, while the show itself won a third accolade.
Glaser hosts the Golden Globes awards ceremony, which takes place on January 5.
