First look at series 2 of The Change
Channel 4 have released the first images from series two of Bridget Christie’s comedy hit The Change.
The show will return early in the new year, with Christie’s character Linda having some explaining to do.
In series one she walked out on her husband Steve – played by Omid Djalili, below – for a mid-life adventure in the Forest of Dean, where she was made Eel Queen.
But she told lies to the community - and at the end of series one, Steve arrived in the forest to take her home.
Series two will be directed by Mackenzie Crook and sees the return of cast members including Susan Lynch playing Eel Sister Agnes, Tanya Moodie as DJ Joy, Liza Tarbuck as Linda’s older, domineering sister Siobhan, Jim Howick as The Verderer, Jerome Flynn as Pig Man (below) and Paul Whitehouse as Tony.
Laura Checkley – who co-starred with Crook in Detectorists, as Danebury Metal Detecting Club stalwart Louise – joins as Eel Sister Theresa. She replaces Monica Dolan, who was Eel Sister Carmel in series one
The Change is produced by Expectation where Nerys Evans and Morwenna Gordon are executive producers, alongside Christie, who also wrote the show.
