Too soon? First Edinburgh Fringe 2025 tickets go on sale

Comic Will Mars gets in early with the return of his Joke Thieves format

comedyLike Christmas, it seems like preparation for Edinburgh Fringe gets earlier each year.

And comic Will Mars has accelerated that process even more this time around – by announcing the first show of 2025 to go on sale.

He is bringing his Joke Thieves format back to the festival for a ninth run next year, with a new batch of stand-ups performing each-other’s material.

It will be on at the Three Sisters as part of the Laughing Horse Free Festival for a full run from July 31 to August 24. And while it works on a ‘pay what you can’ basis, advance tickets are already available here from between £5 to £12.50 to secure a place in advance.

Mars – who hosts the show with beatbox champion Bass6 – told Chortle: ‘Joke Thieves is the show where comedians do their own jokes and then each others, so it's basically half a show for the price of a show.  And I guess half a show is quicker to get on sale.’

And if you can’t make Edinburgh, all the shows will be recorded for release on YouTube later.
