Joel Dommett announces 2025 tour
Joel Dommett has announced a new tour for 2025, Happy Idiot.
The news comes days after it was announced that the Masked Singer presenter would be hosting the new ITV2 spin-off series I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked.
He said: ‘I’m leaving your telly box and coming to you… telling glamorous tales from behind the camera and less glamorous anecdotes of first-time fatherhood. It’s going to be fun and you should come.’
Kicking off in Bristol on February 23, the 25-date run is Dommett’s first tour since Unapologetic in 2022.
This year Joel also presented the second series of game show In With A Shout on ITV while his other credits include Live at the Apollo and hosting Survivor for the BBC.
Dommett came second in the 2016 series of I’m A Celebrity, kick-starting his TV career and will now fronts the newshow, replacing the Extra Camp companion programme, with Capital Radio DJ Kemi Rodgers and reigning King of the Jungle Sam Thompson, from Made in Chelsea.
Of this new job, Dommett said: ‘To say I’m excited to do live jungle based telly again is an understatement! I really adore the spin-off show and I’m so glad it’s returning for more in depth chats with A&D [Ant & Dec], the campmates and incredible guests. It’s going to have a different feel to it, giving fans of the show extra goss and juice. I started my TV career there and fingers crossed I won’t say the wrong thing on live telly and end it there too
Tickets for the Happy Idiot tour go on general sale from 11am on Friday.
