When will Junior Taskmaster air

Channel 4 sets broadcast date

Junior Taskmaster is to air weekly from November 8, Channel 4 has announced

The show – frotned by Rose Matafeo with Mike Wozniak as her assistant – will go out in a primetime 8pm slot.

Unlike the adult series, the kids’ version features five different contestants in each of the first five episodes in a knockout format.  There are then two semi-finals and a final, where one will take home a golden trophy in the shape of Matafeo’s head.

The broadcaster teases that the Junior Taskmaster house is ‘equipped with a shed, a caravan, a laboratory, alongside a dazzle of zebras, sandcastle pedestal and revolving top-hat spinning wheel.’

Tasks were filmed more than a year ago, between September and November 2023, with the live studio sessions the following month. It follows a pilot with Matafeo and Wozniak made in May last year.

The 18th adult season is also currently airing at 9pm on Thursdays, and overlaps with the junior version. The final episode with Babátúndé Aléshé, Andy Zaltzman, Jack DeeRosie Jones and  Emma Sidi  airs on November 14.

Those taking part in Junior Taskmaster are aged from 9 to 11.
