Extra Bafta nominations for Ashley Storrie and Richard Gadd

Both up for audience-voted award

Ashley Storrie and Richard Gadd are both up for an extra Bafta Scotland  award it was announced today.

The comedian are nominated for the audience award for ‘favourite Scot on screen’ – the e only category voted for by the public. Earlier this month the main shortlists were announced with Storrie and her BBC comedy Dinosaur up for four awards, while Gadd was up for writing and acting in Baby Reindeer.

Voting has opened today for the audience award, with six nominees selected by an independent jury of Scottish media and culture experts.  Also in the running are Abby Cook for Blue Peter, Ncuti Gatwa for Doctor Who, Jack Lowden for Slow Horses and David Tennant, also for Doctor Who.

Vote here. Polls close at 5pm on Wednesday October 30, and the winner will be announced at the Bafta Scotland Awards ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday November 17.

Jude MacLaverty, director of Bafta Scotland, said: ‘The six nominees announced today have captured our nation's attention creating watercooler moments through their work and performances on our TV screens.  All six nominees have inspired, entertained and educated audiences over the past year.’
